Norrie Point Environmental Center Entry and Access Mills-Norrie State Park

Role - General Construction

Reconstruct existing asphalt parking lot using light colored permeable concrete pavers in parking spaces to reduce heat island effect, rebuild entry drive and ADA accessible walkway with entry courtyard to the Environmental Center. Other items include: parking lot drainage structures, solar lighting in parking area and dark sky compliant pedestrian lighting, rain gardens will be constructed in parking area with native plant species. A marsh migration area will be added adjacent to the Hudson River including retention ponds for storm water management to infiltrate storm water from parking lot area.
